A report released by the US media NBC News pointed out that more than 100,000 Cubans are using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to respond to US sanctions As a result, Cubans cannot use PayPal, Revolut, Zelle and many other internationally accepted credit or debit cards due to sanctions. Many institutions, including JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank, are reportedly facing millions of dollars in fines for providing services to Cubans.
